DANCING WITH THE STARS PEAKS WITH 2.1 MILLION VIEWERS

The Seven Network's DANCING WITH THE STARS returned for a fifth series last night and was the most watched program in Australia .

Averaging 1.8 million viewers nationally, and peaking with 2.1 million viewers , the series was as popular with viewers as ever.

DANCING WITH THE STARS delivered outstanding results in every capital city averaging 220,000 viewers in Perth .

Last night saw chess champion ARIANNE CAOILI and WA dance partner Carmelo Pizzino received top honors scoring 32 out of a possible 40. Second place was held by former NBA basketballer ANDREW GAZE and Linda De Nicola who amused the audience with a 30, and athlete TAMSYN LEWIS with Arsen Kishishian who came in third with 29.

Next week the ten contestants will vie for the remaining nine positions as one dance couple will be eliminated from the competition.
