Channel Seven today announced game show favourite LARRY EMDUR will host the 2006 season of Wheel Of Fortune, as it enters it 25th year on Australian television.

Larry will be joined by The Great Outdoors presenter and former Miss Australia, LAURA CSORTAN, when the long-running game show returns to Seven on MONDAY JANUARY 30, at 5PM.

“Wheel is such an iconic show that everyone knows and loves,” Emdur said today. “I feel very flattered to be asked to join the show especially in such a monumental year, with the show celebrating its 25th year."

“To me, the show is like your comfy slippers. Whether you watched it a couple of years ago or 25 years ago, it is the same format we know and love but the set has changed and looks amazing."

“Laura and I get on so well, and we feel very comfortable in our new roles and already having so much fun with the show.”

Csortan agrees: “I feel so privileged to be working with Larry - he is such a professional and to now be working with him is such an honour."

“I grew up watching Wheel and being an Adelaide girl the show was huge and I had the opportunity as a kid to visit the 'Wheel' set when Adriana was the hostessnow to be in the same position is just amazing, I just can't believe it.”

Wheel of Fortune will join Seven's smash hit 5.30pm game show Deal or No Deal for the “Wheel and Deal” hour, each weekday.

With a new slick looking set, Wheel of Fortune's traditional format remains the same – but with more puzzles and bigger and better prizes.

Emdur began his career at Seven in 1984, and went on to host a variety of programs across the Network, including his first game show The Main Event. Until recently, Emdur was the host of The Price Is Right.

Csortan, who has been travelling the globe for The Great Outdoors since 2000, was the Miss Australia entrant for the 1997 Miss Universe and Miss World pageants – the first model to represent Australia in both the two major international pageants.

Produced by Grundy Television for the Seven Network, executive producers are Paul Waterhouse (Grundy's) and Lisa Fitzpatrick (Seven).
