HOME VIEWER SHOCK ON DEAL OR NO DEAL

20 Sep 2004, 04:14:36 PM

They could walk away with $2 million, or they could end up with 50 cents. Either way this Tuesday night one home viewer will receive the shock of their life.

In a DEAL OR NO DEAL prime-time special, hosted by ANDREW O'KEEFE, the game's biggest winners return 7.30pm Tuesday September 21 and try to beat the bank for a second time.

Recorded at Channel Seven's South Melbourne studios, and monitored by KPMG auditors, the special sees one main contestant at the stage where the odds are well-and-truly in their favour. The bank starts sweating when, with six amounts still on the board, the $1 million and $2 million are yet to be revealed.

Even when $78,700 is offered to the contestant for the home viewer 87-per-cent of the studio audience believes the contestant is in a position to take out a million dollars or more.

The registration lines have now closed and one person will be chosen from the thousands who have registered from every state of Australia.

Combined the 26 contestants have won more than $2 million, but does one of them have the confidence to win it on their own and for someone else?
