WHEELS AND DOUBLE DEALS ON THE NEW LOOK DEAL OR NO DEAL

01 Feb 2005, 11:23:12 AM

5.30pm weeknights on Channel Seven

It's the game show that has revolutionised the 5.30pm timeslot on Australian television. In 2005 DEAL OR NO DEAL returns with more prizes, more cold hard cash, and more temptation.

Hosted by the master dealer himself, ANDREW O'KEEFE, contestants can win up to $200,000 each weeknight – that's $1 million up for the taking every week. In fact, next week, (starting Monday February 7) one contestant is guaranteed to win over $100,000.

Returning are all the Deal favourites – Megaguess, Super Case, and Chance features – but new to the Deal is a stunning Peugeot 307 XS Triptronic and Double Deal Friday.

The Peugeot, valued at around $30,000, replaces the $25,000 prize on the cash board, while Double Deal Friday enables a home viewer to be part of the action.

Each week one randomly drawn home viewer will win whatever deal is done by the main studio contestant on Friday. So if the studio contestant wins $150,000, then so does the home viewer!

To register for Double Deal Friday home viewers should call 1902 55 56 53 and follow the prompts. Registration lines close at midnight each Thursday.

The home viewer is randomly drawn on Friday, and phone lines open again Friday morning for the next week's draw. OR NO DEAL was the only non-primetime (pre 6pm) game show to secure over 1 million viewers nationally. Its widespread audience appeal has seen over $4.5 million won since the games inception in 2003.

DEAL OR NO DEAL is filmed at Channel Seven's South Melbourne studios and is a creation of game show heavyweight John de Mol of Southern Star Endemol Productions.
